The Citizenship Initiative
The Citizenship Initiative (CI) is an ambitious effort to qualitatively advance our ability to research and address issues of global governance and identity in different areas of the world including West Africa and the Middle East. CI has developed several tools to measure levels of tribalism and citizenship across countries. These tools allow users access to interactive maps where they can explore the implications of research results. In this continued research CI seeks to increase the understanding of religion, women’s status, and identity as it relates to areas of citizenship and global governance. The Citizenship Initiative sponsors seminars and speaker series’, conducts workshops and conferences, and supports interdisciplinary collaborations with other departments and faculty.
